Music for Celebration

Steve Adelson

When Steve Adelson performs the audience can't take its eyes off that funny-looking instrument he's playing. Not quite a guitar. Not quite a bass. It's the Chapman Stick - a twelve stringed oversized guitar neck that's sort of a bass and guitar all in one. Steve plays swingin' funky jazz with his unusual instrument (from jazz standards to jazzy versions of rock classics). Adelson deftly weaves a complex but elegant web of ripping lead lines and driving bass and rhythm patterns that will leave you ooh-ing and ah-ing. Besides solo Steve also performs with a trio including a Steel drummer/Vibraphonist and a percussionist.

Great for a summertime Caribbean celebration!
